About: Hello! My name is Simone and I am a PhD student in biophysics at the University of Lyon 1. I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Tuscia and my graduate studies at Sapienza University of Rome, obtaining degrees in Biotechnology and Medical Biotechnology. My actual research project focuses on finding a new strategy to treat neuroblastoma, an aggressive childhood cancer. To achieve this, I am studying an important factor in this disease: the Aurora A/N-Myc complex. My research group's strategy is to prevent the formation of this complex using protein-protein interaction (PPI) inhibitors.
